Celebrating the World Cup through Design

Representing Saudi Arabia this particular ball design was created as a part of the BOLA World Cup Ball.The balls are hand made in Kenya by Alive and Kicking “the world’s only not for profit sports ball manufacturer”. In addition to that as they mention on their side 100% of a customer’s purchase of any of the illustrated balls will be used to create a social impact.

Our contribution to the project was to design ball that represents the kingdom as a country. When coming up with concepts we chose to lean into different things associated with our current and historical culture. This includes things such as art, architecture, clothing and more. The style depicted is fun, playful and detailed to showcase the intricacies that make up our traditions.
